Stand Still and Move On
Facing a Red Sea moment, the Israelites cried out in fear but Moses answered in Exodus 14: 13 and 14:
"Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Stand firm – in your faith cemented in your relationship with God and secure in the knowledge of who God is according to His Word.
Be still – resting in His love.
“Live In Forward Gear -
Despite his brave words, Moses apparently cried out to God because God responded to him, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on”. Those are power-filled words. When there is no place to go, move on. When the enemy is coming up behind you and the sea is in front of you, move on. When it is humanly impossible God is ready to do a miracle and He says, “Move on”!
Can you dare to do what God says to do?”
(“From The Moses Manual”)
In just a few verses we are told to stand firm (and see God at work), to be still, and to move on. It sounds impossible … but God always has a plan! And His plan worksJ
